You Forgave the Iniquity of My Sin

^1 (C1)How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered!

² How blessed is the man whose iniquity Yahweh ^(C1)will not take into account,
And in whose spirit there is ^(C2)no deceit!

³ When ^(C1)I kept silent about my sin, ^(C2)my ^(F1)bones wasted away
Through my ^(F2)(C3)groaning all day long.

⁴ For day and night ^(C1)Your hand was heavy upon me;
My ^(F1)(C2)vitality was drained away as with the heat of summer. ^Selah may mean Pause, Crescendo, Musical Interlude">(F2)Selah.

⁵ I ^(C1)acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I ^(C2)did not cover up;
I said, "^(C3)I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh;"
And You ^(C4)forgave the ^(F1)iniquity of my sin. Selah.

⁶ Therefore, let every holy one pray to You ^(F1)(C1)at a time when You may be found;
Surely ^(C2)in a flood of great waters they will not reach him.

⁷ You are ^(C1)my hiding place; You ^(C2)guard me from trouble;
You surround me with ^(F1)(C3)songs of deliverance. Selah.

⁸ I will ^(C1)give you insight and teach you in the way which you should go;
I will counsel you ^(C2)with My eye upon you.

⁹ Do not be ^(C1)as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding,
Whose harness are bit and bridle to control them,
Otherwise they will not come near you.

¹⁰ Many are the ^(C1)sorrows of the wicked,
But ^(C2)he who trusts in Yahweh, lovingkindness shall surround him.

¹¹ Be ^(C1)glad in Yahweh and rejoice, you righteous ones;
And shout for joy, all you who are ^(C2)upright in heart.
