The Voice of Yahweh

^1 (C1)Ascribe to Yahweh, O ^(F1)sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.

² Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of His name;
Worship Yahweh ^(C1)in the splendor of holiness.

³ The ^(C1)voice of Yahweh is upon the waters;
The God of glory ^(C2)thunders,
Yahweh is over ^(F1)(C3)many waters.

⁴ The voice of Yahweh is ^(C1)powerful,
The voice of Yahweh is full of splendor.

⁵ The voice of Yahweh breaks the cedars;
Indeed, Yahweh breaks in pieces ^(C1)the cedars of Lebanon.

⁶ He makes Lebanon ^(C1)skip like a calf,
And ^(C2)Sirion like a young wild ox.

⁷ The voice of Yahweh hews out ^(F1)flames of fire.

⁸ The voice of Yahweh causes the wilderness to tremble;
Yahweh causes the wilderness of ^(C1)Kadesh to tremble.

⁹ The voice of Yahweh makes ^(C1)the deer to calve
And strips the forests bare;
And ^(C2)in His temple everything says, "Glory!"

¹⁰ Yahweh sat enthroned over the ^(C1)flood;
Indeed, Yahweh sits as ^(C2)King forever.

^11 (F1)Yahweh will give ^(C1)strength to His people;
^(F2)Yahweh will bless His people with ^(C2)peace.
