I Will Praise Yahweh Throughout My Life

² I will praise Yahweh ^(C1)throughout my life;
I will ^(C2)sing praises to my God while I have my being.

^3 (C1)Do not trust in nobles,
In merely a son of ^(C2)man, in whom there is ^(C3)no salvation.

⁴ His ^(C1)spirit departs, he ^(C2)returns to ^(F1)the earth;
In that very day his ^(C3)plans perish.

⁵ How ^(C1)blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose ^(C2)hope is in Yahweh his God,

⁶ Who ^(C1)made heaven and earth,
The ^(C2)sea and all that is in them;
Who ^(C3)keeps truth forever;

⁷ Who ^(C1)does justice for the oppressed;
Who ^(C2)gives food to the hungry.
Yahweh ^(C3)sets the prisoners free.

⁸ Yahweh ^(C1)opens the eyes of the blind;
Yahweh ^(C2)raises up those who are bowed down;
Yahweh ^(C3)loves the righteous;

⁹ Yahweh ^(C1)keeps the sojourners;
He ^(F1)(C2)helps up the orphan and the widow,
But He bends ^(C3)the way of the wicked.

¹⁰ Yahweh will ^(C1)reign forever,
Your God, O Zion, ^(F1)from generation to generation.
