O Yahweh, Your Name Is Everlasting

^1 (F1)(C1)Praise Yah!
Praise the name of Yahweh;
Praise Him, O ^(C2)slaves of Yahweh,

² You who stand in the house of Yahweh,
In the ^(C1)courts of the house of our God!

^3 (F1)Praise Yah, for ^(C1)Yahweh is good;
^(C2)Sing praises to His name, ^(C3)for it is lovely.

⁴ For Yah has ^(C1)chosen Jacob for Himself,
Israel for His ^(F1)(C2)treasured possession.

⁵ For I know that ^(C1)Yahweh is great
And that our Lord is greater ^(C2)than all gods.

^6 (C1)Whatever Yahweh pleases, He does,
In heaven and on earth, in the seas and in all deeps.

⁷ The One who ^(C1)causes the clouds to ascend from the end of the earth;
Who ^(C2)makes lightnings for the rain,
Who ^(C1)brings forth the wind from His storehouses.

^8 (F1)He ^(C1)struck the firstborn of Egypt,
From man to beast.

^9 (F1)He sent ^(C1)signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt,
Amongst ^(C2)Pharaoh and all his slaves.

^10 (F1)(C1)He ^(C2)struck many nations
And slew mighty kings,

^11 (C1)Sihon, king of the Amorites,
And ^(C2)Og, king of Bashan,
And ^(C3)all the kingdoms of Canaan;

¹² And He ^(C1)gave their land as an inheritance,
An inheritance to Israel His people.

¹³ O Yahweh, Your ^(C1)name is everlasting,
O Yahweh, Your ^(F1)remembrance is ^(F2)from generation to generation.

¹⁴ For Yahweh will ^(C1)render justice for His people
And ^(C2)will give comfort to His slaves.

¹⁵ The ^(C1)idols of the nations are silver and gold,
The work of man's hands.

¹⁶ They have mouths, but they do not speak;
They have eyes, but they do not see;

¹⁷ They have ears, but they do not hear,
Surely, there is not any breath in their mouths.

¹⁸ Those who make them will be like them,
All who trust in them.

¹⁹ O house of ^(C1)Israel, bless Yahweh;
O house of Aaron, bless Yahweh;

²⁰ O house of Levi, bless Yahweh;
You ^(C1)who fear Yahweh, bless Yahweh.

²¹ Blessed be Yahweh ^(C1)from Zion,
Who ^(C2)dwells in Jerusalem.
