Go to the House of Yahweh

¹ I was glad when they said to me,
"Let us ^(C1)go to the house of Yahweh."

² Our feet are standing
Within your ^(C1)gates, O Jerusalem,

³ Jerusalem, which is ^(C1)built
As a city ^(C2)joined altogether;

⁴ To which the tribes, the tribes of Yah, ^(C1)go up—
A testimony for Israel—
To give thanks to the name of Yahweh.

⁵ For there, ^(C1)thrones sit for judgment,
The thrones of the house of David.

⁶ Pray for the ^(C1)peace of Jerusalem:
"May they prosper who ^(C2)love you.

⁷ "May peace be within your ^(C1)walls,
And tranquility within your ^(C2)palaces."

⁸ For the sake of my ^(C1)brothers and my friends,
I will now say, "^(C2)May peace be within you."

⁹ For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God,
I will ^(C1)seek your good.
