1 The book of the genealogy of (F1)Jesus (F2)Christ, (C1)the son of David, (C2)the son of Abraham:

17 Therefore all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David to the (C1)deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the (C1)deportation to Babylon to (F1)the Christ, fourteen generations.
The Conception and Birth of Jesus
18 Now the birth of Jesus (F1)Christ was as follows: when His (C1)mother Mary had been (F2)betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was (C2)found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.19 And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man and not wanting to disgrace her, planned (F1)(C1)to send her away secretly.20 But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the (F1)Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "(C1)Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for (F2)the One who has been (F3)conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.21 "And she will bear a Son; and (C1)you shall call His name Jesus, for (F1)He (C2)will save His people from their sins."22 Now all this (F1)took place in order that what was (C1)spoken by the (F2)Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled, saying,23 "(C1)BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH (C2)CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME (F1)IMMANUEL," which translated means, "(C3)GOD WITH US."24 And Joseph got up from his sleep and did as the angel of the (F1)Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife,25 (F1)but kept her a virgin until she (F2)(C1)gave birth to a Son; and (C2)he called His name Jesus.
