There was a good and righteous man named Joseph, a member of the Sanhedrin,
And behold, there was a man named Ioseph, a counseller, and hee was a good man, and a iust.
And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:
Now there was a man named Joseph, from the Jewish town of Arimathea. He was a member of the council, a good and righteous man,
And a man named Joseph, who was a member of the Council, a good and righteous man

There was a man named Joseph, who was from Arimathea in Judea. Joseph was a good and honest man, and he was eager for God's kingdom to come. He was also a member of the council, but he did not agree with what they had decided.

A man named Joseph was there from the Jewish town of Arimathea. He was a good man, who lived the way God wanted. He was waiting for God's kingdom to come. Joseph was a member of the Jewish council. But he did not agree when the other Jewish leaders decided to kill Jesus.
And beholde, there was a man named Ioseph, which was a counseller, a good man and a iust.
There was a man named Joseph the counsellor of Arimathaea, a city of Judaea, a good and righteous man.
There was a man named Joseph from Arimathea, a town in Judea. He was a good and honorable man, who was waiting for the coming of the Kingdom of God. Although he was a member of the Council, he had not agreed with their decision and action.
And behold, a man named Joseph, who was a member of the council, a good and righteous man
And, behold, a man named Joseph, being a councillor, a good and righteous man.
And behold, a man named Joseph, who was a councillor, a good and righteous man
Now there was a man named Joseph, a man of authority and a good and upright man
Behold, a man named Yosef, who was a member of the council, a good and righteous man

There was likewise present a counsellor, named Joseph, a man of probity and justice, one who had never abetted the contrivances and proceedings of the Jews.
There was a man by the name of Joseph, a member of the Jewish High Council, a man of good heart and good character. He had not gone along with the plans and actions of the council. His hometown was the Jewish village of Arimathea. He lived in alert expectation of the kingdom of God. He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Taking him down, he wrapped him in a linen shroud and placed him in a tomb chiseled into the rock, a tomb never yet used. It was the day before Sabbath, the Sabbath just about to begin.
Now there was a good cowboy named Joseph. He'd been a part of the same group that had Jesus killed,

a counsellor; Mark says, he was an "honourable" one; he was either one of the council of the high priest, or a member of the great sanhedrim; :-.
and he was a good man, and a just; he was kind and beneficent in his temper, and just, and righteous in his life and actions; a like character is given of Joseph the husband of Mary, the mother of our Lord, Matthew 1:19.
