Hebrews 5
1 For every high priest (C1)taken from among men is appointed on behalf of men in (C2)things pertaining to God, in order to (C3)offer both gifts and sacrifices (C4)for sins,2 (C1)being able to deal gently with the (C2)ignorant and (C3)misguided, since he himself also is (F1)(C4)beset with weakness;3 and because of it, he is obligated, (C1)just as for the people, to also offer sacrifices (C2)for sins in the same way for himself.4 And (C1)no one takes this honor to himself, but receives it when he is called by God, even (C2)as Aaron was.
5 In this way also Christ (C1)did not glorify Himself to become a (C2)high priest, but He who (C3)said to Him,
"(C4)YOU ARE MY SON,
TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU";
"(C1)YOU ARE A PRIEST FOREVER
ACCORDING TO (C2)THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK."
11 Concerning (F1)him we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.12 For though (F1)by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you (C1)the (F2)(C2)elementary principles of the (C3)oracles of God, and you have come to need (C4)milk and not solid food.13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an (C1)infant.14 But solid food is for (C1)the (F1)mature, who because of practice have their senses (C2)trained to (C3)discern both good and evil.
