Jehovah is the God of gods; Jehovah is the God of gods! He knows, and Israel shall know, if it is in rebellion, and if it is in treachery against Jehovah, you shall not save us alive today.
And you, if you walk before me as your father David walked, in singleness of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you; you shall keep My statutes and My judgments;
I pray to You, O Jehovah, please remember how I have walked always before your face in truth, and with a perfect heart, and I have done the good in Your eyes. And Hezekiah wept with a great weeping.
And I know, my God, that You try the heart and are pleased with uprightness; I, in the uprightness of my heart, have offered willingly all these things; and now I have watched with joy Your people who are present here offering willingly toYou.
You said , I am pure, without transgression; I am clean and no iniquity is in me;
Jehovah will judge the people. O Jehovah, judge me according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity on me.

Let purity and uprightness keep me, for I wait on You.
I will wash my hands in innocency; so I will go around Your altar, O Jehovah,
Surely I have purified my heart in vain; and I have washed my hands in innocence.
Gill's Notes on the Bible
These going before,.... The apostle into Asia, all but Sopater, who accompanied him:
tarried for us at Troas; a city in Asia Minor; see Acts 16:8 whither they went before hand a nearer way, to provide for the apostle, and where they waited for him, and for Sopater, and for Luke, the writer of this history, who appears from hence to be in company with the apostle, and for as many others as were along with him.
Barnes' Notes on the Bible
These going before - Going before Paul and Luke. Dr. Doddridge supposes that only Tychicus and Trophimus went before the others. Perhaps the Greek most naturally demands this interpretation.
Tarried for us - The word “us,” here, shows that Luke had again joined Paul as his companion. In Acts 16:12 it appears that Luke was in Philippi, in the house of Lydia. Why he remained there, or why he did not attend Paul in his journey to Athens, Corinth, Ephesus, etc., is not known. It is evident, however, that he here joined him again.
At Troas - See the notes on Acts 16:8.
Clarke's Notes on the Bible
Verse Acts 20:5. Tarried for us at Troas. — See the preceding verse. Troas was a small town in Phrygia Minor, in the province called the Troad: see Acts 16:8.
