George Lamsa Translation

Psalms 52

1 WHY do you boast of evil, O mighty man? Your tongue devises injustices against the innocent every day.2 It is like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.3 You love evil more than good, and lying rather than speaking righteousness.4 You love all that speak evil and all deceitful tongues;5 Therefore, God shall overthrow you, and he shall root you out of your dwelling place, and out of the land of the living.

6 Then shall the righteous see and rejoice, and shall trust in the LORD;7 And they shall say, Lo, this is the man who trusted not in God; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and boasted in his possessions.8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I have trusted in the mercy of God for ever and ever.9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it; and I will proclaim thy name before thy saints for generations.
