Again the Jews were divided over what Jesus was saying.
And ther was a dissencion agayne amoge the Iewes for these sayinges
Therefore a division arose again among the Yehudim because of these words.

This kind of talk caused another split in the Jewish ranks. A lot of them were saying, "He's crazy, a maniac—out of his head completely. Why bother listening to him?" But others weren't so sure: "These aren't the words of a crazy man. Can a ‘maniac' open blind eyes?"
Another sharp division took place among the Jewish people because of these words.

After the flood Shem, Ham, and Japheth had many descendants.
Japheth's descendants had their own languages, tribes, and land. They were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. Gomer was the ancestor of Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. Javan was the ancestor of Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim, who settled along the coast.

There was a division therefore again among the Jews,.... As there had been before; see John 7:12.
For these sayings; concerning his being the good shepherd, and laying down his life for the sheep, and having both a power to lay it down, and take it up again.

Verse John 10:19. There was a division — σχισμα, a schism, a rent. They were divided in their opinions; one part received the light, and the other resisted it.
