In those times there was no peace for those who went about their daily activities because the residents of the lands had many conflicts.
In those times there was no shalom to him who went out, nor to him who came in; but great vexations were on all the inhabitants of the lands.
And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
In those times there was no peace to him who went out or to him who came in, for great disturbances afflicted all the inhabitants of the lands.
In those days no one could travel safely. There was much trouble in all the nations.

There was so much confusion in those days that it wasn't safe to go anywhere in Israel.
In those times people going about their business were insecure, and great disturbances afflicted all the inhabitants of the lands;
And in those times there [was] no peace to him that went out nor to him that came in, but great disturbances were amongst all the inhabitants of the countries.
In those times of trouble, no one could travel safely. There was great trouble in all the nations.
And in those early times when we did not worship our God, there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in. because of great misfortune that came upon all the inhabitants of the land.
In those days no one could come and go in safety, because there was trouble and disorder in every land.
And in those times there was no peace for the one going out and the one coming in, for great tumults were upon all the inhabitants of the lands.
And in those days there was no peace to him going out, or to him coming in, for much tumult was on all those living in the lands.
At that tyme shall it not be well with him that goeth out and in: for there shal be greate vproures vpon all them yt dwell on the earth.
And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in; but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the lands.

At that time there shall be no peace to him that goeth out and cometh in, but terrors on every side among all the inhabitants of the earth.

and in those times there is no peace to him who is going out, and to him who is coming in, for many troubles [are] on all the inhabitants of the lands,

And in those times there was no peace to him that went out nor to him that came in,.... There was no safety in going abroad for travellers from one part to another on account of trade and business, the highways being infested with thieves and robbers:
but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries; of the country villages, which were deserted, because of the plunders and depredations of them, Judges 5:6.
