Prayer for Defense against Enemies.

¹ Save me, O God, by ^(C1)Your name;
And vindicate me by ^(C2)Your wondrous power.

^2 (C1)Hear my prayer, O God;
^(C2)Listen to the words of my mouth.

³ For strangers have ^(C1)risen against me
And ^(C2)violent men have ^(C3)sought my life;
They have ^(C4)not set God before them. Selah.

⁴ Behold, ^(C1)God is my helper and ally;
The Lord is the ^(C2)sustainer of my soul my upholder.

⁵ He will ^(C1)pay back the evil to my enemies;
^(C2)In Your faithfulness ^(C3)destroy them.

⁶ With a ^(C1)freewill offering I will sacrifice to You;
I will give ^(C2)thanks and praise Your name, O LORD, for it is good.

⁷ For He has ^(C1)rescued me from every trouble,
And my eye has ^(C2)looked with satisfaction (triumph) on my enemies.
