Thanksgiving for the LORD'S Saving Goodness.

¹ O ^(C1)give thanks to the LORD, for ^(C2)He is good;
For His lovingkindness endures forever.

² Oh let ^(C1)Israel say,
"His lovingkindness endures forever."

³ Oh let the ^(C1)house of Aaron say,
"His lovingkindness endures forever."

⁴ Oh let those ^(C1)who reverently fear the LORD, say,
"His lovingkindness endures forever."

⁵ Out of my ^(C1)distress I called on the LORD;
The LORD answered me and ^(C2)set me free.

⁶ The LORD is ^(C1)on my side; I will ^(C2)not fear.
^(C3)What can mere man do to me? ^(VR1)

⁷ The LORD is on my side, He is ^(C1)among those who help me;
Therefore I will ^(C2)look in triumph on those who hate me.

⁸ It is ^(C1)better to take refuge in the LORD
Than to trust in man.

⁹ It is ^(C1)better to take refuge in the LORD
Than to trust in princes.

¹⁰ All nations ^(C1)encompassed me;
In the name of the LORD I will surely ^(C2)cut them off.

¹¹ They ^(C1)encompassed me, yes, they surrounded me on every side;
In the name of the LORD I will cut them off.

¹² They swarmed around me ^(C1)like bees;
They flare up and are extinguished like a ^(C2)fire of thorns;
In the name of the LORD I will surely cut them off. ^(VR1)

¹³ You my enemy ^(C1)pushed me violently so that I was falling,
But the LORD ^(C2)helped me.

^14 (C1)The LORD is my strength and song,
And He has become ^(C2)my salvation.

¹⁵ The sound of ^(C1)joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous:
The ^(C2)right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

¹⁶ The ^(C1)right hand of the LORD is exalted;
The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

¹⁷ I ^(C1)will not die, but live,
And ^(C2)declare the works and recount the illustrious acts of the LORD.

¹⁸ The LORD has ^(C1)disciplined me severely,
But He has ^(C2)not given me over to death. ^(VR1)

^19 (C1)Open to me the temple gates of righteousness;
I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to the LORD.

²⁰ This is the gate of the LORD;
The ^(C1)righteous will enter through it. ^(VR1)

²¹ I will give thanks to You, for You have heard and ^(C1)answered me;
And You have ^(C2)become my salvation my Rescuer, my Savior.

²² The ^(C1)stone which the builders rejected
Has become the ^(F1)chief corner stone.

²³ This is from the LORD and is His doing;
It is marvelous in our eyes. ^(VR1)

²⁴ This day in which God has saved me is the day which the LORD has made;
Let us ^(C1)rejoice and be glad in it.

^25 (C1)O LORD, save now, we beseech You;
O LORD, we beseech You, send now ^(C2)prosperity and give us success!

^26 (C1)Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD;
We have ^(C2)blessed you from the house of the LORD you who come into His sanctuary under His guardianship. ^(VR1)

^27 (C1)The LORD is God, and He has given us ^(C2)light illuminating us with His grace and freedom and joy.
Bind the festival sacrifices with ^(F1)cords to the ^(C3)horns of the altar.

^28 (C1)You are my God, and I give thanks to You;
You are my God, ^(C2)I extol You.

²⁹ O ^(C1)give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
