And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God,.... For his worship, and for his honour and glory:

Verse 1 Kings 5:5. A house unto the name of the Lord — The name of God is God himself. I purpose to build a house to that infinite and eternal Being called Jehovah.
