NAS – For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God {the} heavens existed long ago and {the} earth was formed out of water and by water,
NA26 – λανθάνει (5719) γὰρ αὐτοὺς τοῦτο θέλοντας, (5723) ὅτι οὐρανοὶ ἦσαν (5713) ἔκπαλαι καὶ γῆ ἐξ ὕδατος καὶ δι ὕδατος συνεστῶσα (5761) τῷ τοῦ θεοῦ λόγῳ,
WH – λανθανει (5719) γαρ αυτους τουτο θελοντας (5723) οτι ουρανοι ησαν (5707) εκπαλαι και γη εξ υδατος και δι υδατος συνεστωσα (5761) τω του θεου λογω

NAS – But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly people.
NA26 – οἱ δὲ νῦν οὐρανοὶ καὶ ἡ γῆ τῷ αὐτῷ λόγῳ τεθησαυρισμένοι (5772) εἰσὶν (5748) πυρί, τηρούμενοι (5746) εἰς ἡμέραν κρίσεως καὶ ἀπωλείας τῶν ἀσεβῶν ἀνθρώπων.
WH – οι δε νυν ουρανοι και η γη τω αυτω λογω τεθησαυρισμενοι (5772) εισιν (5719) πυρι τηρουμενοι (5746) εις ημεραν κρισεως και απωλειας των ασεβων ανθρωπων
