NAS – Now David was the son of the Ephrathite of Bethlehem in Judah, {the man} whose name was Jesse, and he had eight sons. And Jesse was old in the days of Saul, advanced {in years} among men.
ALE – ודוד בן איש אפרתי הזה מבית לחם יהודה ושמו ישי ולו שמנה בנים והאיש בימי שאול זקן בא באנשים
BHS – וְדָוִד֩ בֶּן־אִ֙ישׁ אֶפְרָתִ֜י הַזֶּ֗ה מִבֵּ֥יתלֶ֙חֶם֙ יְהוּדָ֔ה וּשְׁמֹ֣ו יִשַׁ֔י וְלֹ֖ו שְׁמֹנָ֣ה בָנִ֑ים וְהָאִישׁ֙ בִּימֵ֣י שָׁא֔וּל זָקֵ֖ן בָּ֥א בַאֲנָשִֽׁים׃
MAS – ודוד בן אישׁ אפרתי הזה מבית לחם יהודה ושׁמו ישׁי ולו שׁמנה בנים והאישׁ בימי שׁאול זקן בא באנשׁים
