Prosperity After Turning to the Lord

When all these blessings and curses(a) I have set before you come on you and you take them to heart wherever the Lord your God disperses you among the nations,(b)

Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land.(s) The Lord will again delight(t) in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your ancestors,

Joshua to Succeed Moses

Then Moses went out and spoke these words to all Israel:

"I am now a hundred and twenty years old(a) and I am no longer able to lead you.(b) The Lord has said to me, ‘You shall not cross the Jordan.'(c)

The Lord your God himself will cross(d) over ahead of you.(e) He will destroy these nations(f) before you, and you will take possession of their land. Joshua also will cross(g) over ahead of you, as the Lord said.

Then Moses summoned Joshua and said(o) to him in the presence of all Israel, "Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them,(p) and you must divide it among them as their inheritance.
