Of the Iewes fiue times receiued I forty stripes saue one.

Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned: thrice I suffered shipwracke: a night and a day I haue bene in the deepe.

In iourneying often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by my owne countreymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the citie, in perils in the wildernesse, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren,

In wearinesse and painfulnesse, in watchings often, in hunger & thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakednes.

Besides those things that are without, that which commeth vpon me dayly, the care of all the Churches.

Who is weake, and I am not weake? who is offended, and I burne not?
