Zechariah 9,10

Prophecies against Neighboring Nations

1 The pronouncement of the word of the LORD is against the land of Hadrach, with (C1)Damascus as its resting place (for the eyes of mankind, especially of all the tribes of Israel, are toward the LORD),

2 And (C1)Hamath also, which borders on it;
(C2)Tyre and (C3)Sidon, (F1)though (F2)they are (C2)very wise.

3 For Tyre built herself a (C1)fortress,
And (C2)piled up silver like dust,
And (C3)gold like the mud of the streets.

4 Behold, the Lord will (C1)dispossess her
And throw her wealth into the sea;
And she will be (C2)consumed with fire.

5 Ashkelon will see it and be afraid.
Gaza too will writhe in great pain;
Also Ekron, because her hope has been ruined.
Moreover, the king will perish from Gaza,
And Ashkelon will not be inhabited.

6 And a people of mixed origins will live in (C1)Ashdod,
And I will eliminate the pride of the Philistines.

7 And I will remove their blood from their mouth
And their detestable things from between their teeth.
Then they also will be a remnant for our God,
And be like a (F1)clan in Judah,
And Ekron will be like a Jebusite.

8 But I will camp around My house (F1)because of an army,
Because of (C1)him who passes by and returns;
And (C2)no oppressor will pass over them anymore,
For now I have seen with My eyes.

9 (C1)Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your (C2)king is coming to you;
He is (F1)(C3)righteous and (C4)endowed with salvation,
(C5)Humble, and mounted on a donkey,
Even on a (C6)colt, the (F2)foal of a donkey.

10 And I will (C1)eliminate the chariot from Ephraim
And the (C2)horse from Jerusalem;
And the (C3)bow of war will be eliminated.
And He will speak (C4)peace to the nations;
And His (C5)dominion will be from sea to sea,
And from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.

Restoration of Judah and Ephraim

11 As for you also, because of the (C1)blood of My covenant with you,
I have set your (C2)prisoners free from the (F1)waterless pit.

12 Return to the (F1)(C1)stronghold, you prisoners (F2)who have the (C2)hope;
This very day I am declaring that I will restore (C3)double to you.

13 For I will (C1)bend Judah (F1)as My bow,
I will fill the bow with Ephraim.
And I will stir up your sons, Zion, against your sons, (C2)Greece;
And I will make you like a (C3)warrior's sword.

14 Then the LORD will appear (C1)over them,
And His (C2)arrow will go forth like lightning;
And the Lord (F1)GOD will blow the (C3)trumpet,
And march in the (C4)storm winds of the south.

15 (C1)The LORD of armies will protect them.
And they will (C2)devour and trample on the (C3)slingstones;
And they will drink and be (C4)boisterous as with wine;
And they will be filled like a sacrificial basin,
Drenched like the (C5)corners of the altar.

16 And the LORD their God will (C1)save them on that day
As the flock of His people;
For they are like the precious stones of a (C2)crown,
Sparkling on His land.

17 For how great will (F1)their (C1)loveliness and (C2)beauty be!
Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine, the virgins.

God Will Bless Judah and Ephraim

1 Ask for (C1)rain from the LORD at the time of the spring rain—

The LORD who (C2)makes the (F1)storm winds;
And He will give them (C3)showers of rain, vegetation in the field to each person.

2 For the (F1)(C1)household idols speak deception,
And the (C2)diviners see (F2)an illusion
And tell (C3)deceitful dreams;
They comfort in vain.
Therefore the people (F3)wander like (C4)sheep,
They are wretched because there is no shepherd.

3 "My (C1)anger is kindled against the shepherds,
And I will punish the (F1)male goats;
For the LORD of armies has (C2)visited His flock, the house of Judah,
And will make them like His majestic horse in battle.

4 "From (F1)them will come the (C1)cornerstone,
From (F1)them the tent peg,
From (F1)them the bow of (C2)battle,
From (F1)them every tyrant, all of them together.

5 "And they will be like warriors,
(C1)Trampling down the enemy in the mud of the streets in battle;
And they will fight, because the LORD will be with them;
And the (C2)riders on horses will be put to shame.

6 "And I will (C1)strengthen the house of Judah,
And I will (C2)save the house of Joseph,
And I will (F1)(C3)bring them back,
Because I have had (C4)compassion on them;
And they will be as though I had (C5)not rejected them,
For I am the LORD their God and I will (C6)answer them.

7 "Ephraim will be like a warrior,
And their heart will be joyful as if from wine;
Indeed, their (C1)children will see it and be joyful,
(F1)Their heart will rejoice in the LORD.

8 "I will (C1)whistle for them and gather them together,
For I have redeemed them;
And they will be as (C2)numerous as they (F1)(C3)were before.

9 "When I (F1)scatter them among the peoples,
They will (C1)remember Me in distant countries,
And they with their children will live and come back.

10 "I will (C1)bring them back from the land of Egypt
And gather them from Assyria;
And I will bring them into the land of (C2)Gilead and Lebanon
(F1)Until (C3)no room can be found for them.

11 "And they will pass through the (C1)sea of distress
And He will strike the waves in the sea,
So that all the depths of the (C2)Nile will dry up;
And the pride of (C3)Assyria will be brought down,
And the scepter of (C4)Egypt will depart.

12 "And I will (C1)strengthen them in the LORD,
And in His name (C2)they will walk," declares the LORD.

Revelation 1

Chapter 1

The Revelation of Jesus Christ

1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which (C1)God gave Him to (C2)show to His bond-servants, (C3)the things which must soon take place; and He sent and (F1)communicated it (C4)by His angel to His bond-servant (C5)John,2 who testified to (C1)the word of God and to (C2)the testimony of Jesus Christ, everything that he saw.3 (C1)Blessed is the one who reads, and those who hear the words of the prophecy and (F1)keep the things which are written in it; (C2)for the time is near.

Message to the Seven Churches

4 (C1)John to (C2)the seven churches that are in (C3)Asia: (C4)Grace to you and peace from (C5)Him who is, and who was, and who (F1)is to come, and from (C6)the (F2)seven spirits who are before His throne,5 and from Jesus Christ, (C1)the faithful witness, the (C2)firstborn of the dead, and the (C3)ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who (C4)loves us and released us from our sins by His blood—6 and He made us into a (C1)kingdom, (C1)priests to (F1)(C2)His God and Father—(C3)to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.7 (C1)BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and (C2)every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will (C3)mourn over Him. (F1)So it is to be. Amen.

8 "I am (C1)the Alpha and the Omega," says the (C2)Lord God, "(C3)who is and who was and who (F1)is to come, the Almighty."

The Patmos Vision

9 (C1)I, John, your (C2)brother and (C3)fellow participant in the tribulation and (C4)kingdom and (F1)(C5)perseverance in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos (C6)because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.10 I was (C1)in the (F1)Spirit on (C2)the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice (C3)like the sound of a trumpet,11 saying, "(C1)Write (F1)on a scroll what you see, and send it to the (C2)seven churches: to (C3)Ephesus, (C4)Smyrna, (C5)Pergamum, (C6)Thyatira, (C7)Sardis, (C8)Philadelphia, and (C9)Laodicea."

12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And after turning I saw (C1)seven golden lampstands;13 and (C1)in the middle of the lampstands I saw one (C2)like (F1)a son of man, (C3)clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and (C4)wrapped around the chest with a golden sash.14 His head and His (C1)hair were white like white wool, like snow; and (C2)His eyes were like a flame of fire.15 His (C1)feet were like (F1)burnished bronze when it has been heated to a glow in a furnace, and His (C2)voice was like the sound of many waters.16 In His right hand He held (C1)seven stars, and out of His mouth came a (C2)sharp two-edged sword; and His (C3)face was like (C4)the sun (F1)shining in its strength.

17 When I saw Him, I (C1)fell at His feet like a dead man. And He (C2)placed His right hand on me, saying, "(C3)Do not be afraid; (C4)I am the first and the last,18 and the (C1)living One; and I (F1)(C2)was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have (C3)the keys of death and of Hades.19 "Therefore (C1)write (C2)the things which you have seen, (F1)and the things which are, and the things which will take place (C3)after these things.20 "As for the (C1)mystery of the (C2)seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the (C3)seven golden lampstands: the (C2)seven stars are the angels of (C4)the seven churches, and the seven (C5)lampstands are the seven churches.
