Psalms 23-24

Chapter 23

The LORD, the Psalmist's Shepherd.

A Psalm of David.

1 The LORD is my (C1)shepherd,
I will (C2)not be in need.

2 He lets me lie down in (C1)green pastures;
He (C2)leads me beside (F1)(C3)quiet waters.

3 He (C1)restores my soul;
He (C2)guides me in the (F1)(C3)paths of righteousness
For the sake of His name.

4 Even though I (C1)walk through the (F1)valley of the shadow of death,
I (C2)fear no (F2)evil, for (C3)You are with me;
Your (C4)rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5 You (C1)prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You (F1)have (C2)anointed my head with oil;
My (C3)cup overflows.

6 (F1)Certainly (C1)goodness and (F2)faithfulness will follow me all the days of my life,
And my (C2)dwelling will be in the house of the LORD (F3)forever.

Chapter 24

The King of Glory Entering Zion.

A Psalm of David.

1 The (C1)earth is the LORD'S, and (F1)all it contains,
The (C2)world, and those who live in it.

2 For He has (C1)founded it upon the seas
And established it upon the rivers.

3 Who may (C1)ascend onto the (C2)hill of the LORD?
And who may stand in His holy (C3)place?

4 One who has (C1)clean hands and a (C2)pure heart,
Who has not (C3)lifted up his soul to deceit
And has not (C4)sworn deceitfully.

5 He will receive a (C1)blessing from the LORD
And (F1)(C2)righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 (F1)This is the generation of those who (C1)seek Him,
Who seek Your face—even Jacob. Selah

7 (C1)Lift up your heads, you gates,
And be lifted up, you (F1)ancient doors,
That the King of (C2)glory may come in!

8 Who is the King of glory?
The LORD (C1)strong and mighty,
The LORD (C2)mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, you gates,
And lift them up, you (F1)ancient doors,
That the King of (C1)glory may come in!

10 Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of (C1)armies,
He is the King of glory. Selah
