Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition
שָׁלִשָׁה [Shalisha], pr. name of a region near Mount Ephraim, 1 Samuel 9:4 in which there appears to have been situated the town בַּעַל־שָׁלִשָׁה 2 Kings 4:42. This is called by Eusebius Beth-Shalisha, and is said by him to be fifteen Roman miles north of Diospolis.
