Brown-Driver-Briggs Expanded Definition
[קַרְסֹל] noun [ feminine Albr ZAW xvi (1896), 77] ankle (compare ᵐ5ᵑ9 2 Samuel 22:37; = ל + קֶרֶס see Kö ii. 1,121; plural suffix קַסֻלָּ֑י 2 Samuel 22:37 = Psalm 18:37).

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition
קַרְסֹל prop. diminut. from קֶרֶס (see under לְ page 421, B ), a joint, a little joint; Gelenkchen; specially the ancle (which is also, in Germ., expressed by a diminutive Knöchel). Dual קַרְסֻלַּיִם. Psalms 18:37, לֹא מָֽעֲדוּ קַרְסֻלּי “my ancles have not slipped;” 2 Samuel 22:37. Vulg. tali. (Compare Targ. Ezekiel 47:3). I have no doubt that from this word (a quadriliteral being contracted into a triliteral) is derived Arab. قزل to walk unsteadily, to walk with tottering ancles; commonly, to limp; أَقْزَلُ a man thus walking, weak in the ancles and legs. Compare כָּשַׁל.
