Qal Perfect 3 masculine singular ׳לִבִּי בְּי׳ע 1 Samuel 2:1 my heart exulteth in ׳י; Imperfect 3 masculine singular יַעֲלֹץ הַשָּׂדֶה 1 Chronicles 16:32 the field exulteth; compare 3 feminine singular תַּעֲלֹץ קִרְיָה Proverbs 11:10 ("" רנן); 1 singular אֶעֶלְצָה בָּ֑ךְ Psalm 9:3 (i.e. in ׳י; + שׂמח, "" זמּר); 3 masculine plural יַעְלְצוּ בְךָ Psalm 5:12 (in ׳י; "" שׂמח, רנן); יַעַלְצוּ לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים Psalm 68:4 (+ שׂמח, "" שׂישׂ); + לִי Psalm 25:2 exult at me; Infinitive construct בַּעֲלֹץ Proverbs 28:12 when the righteous exult.
עָלַץ fut. יַעֲלֹץ, i.q. עָלַז and עָלַס to exult, to rejoice, to be joyful, Proverbs 11:10, 28:12. עָלַץ בַּיהוָֹה to rejoice in Jehovah, Psalms 5:12, 9:3 1 Samuel 2:1. Followed by לְ to exult over any one, Psal. 25:2. Used figuratively of inanimate things, 1 Chronicles 16:32.
