 מַמְזֵר noun masculine bastard, specifically child of incest (Late Hebrew id. (see Levy), מַמְזֵרוּת incest; Aramaic (loan-word) מַמְזֵרָא bastard): —

1 literally bastard, Deuteronomy 23:3 (see Dr).

2 perhaps figurative collective, of mixed population Zechariah 9:6 ᵐ5 ἀλλογενεῖς (compare also Gei Urschrift 52f.)

II. מזר (√ of following, si vera lectio; possibly = spread out; Aramaic stretch oneself, compare Arabic aequaliter distendit utrem).

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

מַמְזֵר m.

(1)  spurious, a bastard, Deuteronomy 23:3 LXX. ἐκ πορνῆς; Vulg. de scorto natus; and so also the Oriental interpreters, as well as the Rabbins, who use this word of a bastard. [For the limitations as to this use, see Thes. p. 781.]

(2) metaph. foreigner, Zechariah 9:6 LXX. ἀλλογενής. Foreign nations are often compared to harlots [as being seducers to idolatry] by the Hebrew poets [i.e. inspired prophets]; see Isaiah 23:17, 18 Isaiah 23:18. (The unused Hebrew root מָזַר prob. had the same meaning as נָזַר to separate but used in a bad sense, to despise, to contemn; whence ذزر Med. Damma, to be of little worth, contemptible; compare مرز to put to shame; and Syr. ܡܣܰܪ Aph. to contemn. Others take it from the root זוּר, whence the noun מְזֵר a foreign country; and hence מַמְזֵר.)
