	Pi`el, tear off (compare קִרְסֵם Late Hebrew cut or eat away, Deuteronomy 28:38 ᵑ7 J for חָסַל; on form see Ges§ 56); — only Imperfect 3 masculine singular suffix: — יְכַרְסְמֶנָּה חֲזִיר מִיָּ֫עַר Psalm 80:14 teareth it off (that Isaiah , the vine, figurative of Israel).

		כִּרְסֵם quadril. derived from Piel of the verb כָּסַם, which see, for כִּסֵּם (see כָּרְסֵא, and under the letter ), to cut off, to devour, to depasture, to lay waste, as a wild boar a vineyard, Psalms 80:14. (Arabic كرسم to cut off, to corrode, to depasture, to gnaw, to devour; Chald. קַרְסֵם to devour, depasture, as a locust.)
