חֲצַרְמָוֶת (“the court of death”), [Hazarmaveth], pr.n. of a district in Arabia Felix, situated on the Indian sea, abounding in frankincense, myrrh, and aloes; but remarkable on account of the unhealthiness of the Climate (whence its name); it is still called by the Arabs حَضْرَمَوْتُ, حَضْرُمَوْتِ Genesis 10:26.
