Qal Perfect 3 feminine singular בָּעֵ֑קָה Deuteronomy 8:4; 3 plural בָּצֵ֑קוּ Nehemiah 9:21; — swell, or receive swellings, blisters, of foot, Di Deuteronomy 8:4, Ry Nehemiah 9:21.
בָּצֵק to swell up, hence used of the unshod foot, to become callous. Deuteronomy 8:4; Nehemiah 9:21. Well rendered by the LXX. in Deut. ἐτυλώθησαν. [Hence the two following]
בָּצֵק m. dough, so called from its swelling up, although used of the lump also before it is leavened, Exodus 12:34, 39 Exodus 12:39; 2 Samuel 13:8; Jeremiah 7:18.
