This subst., which is found in the NT only in 1 Timothy 6:4 (cf. Sirach 3:24) = ";suspicion,"; may be illustrated from P Lond 1912.97 (Claudiusto the Alexandrines—A.D.41) ἐξ οὐ μείζονας ὑπονοίας ἀνανκασθήσομε (l. ἀναγκασθήσομαι) λαμβάνειν, ";thus compelling me to receive the greater suspicion"; (Ed.), Chrest.
