Fr. 150 and Inscrr.(v. infr.): — in impf. and aor. 1 the augm. is sts. placed after the prep., προ-εφήτευον, -εφήτευσα, as LXX 3 Ki. 22.12 (v.l.), Acts 19:6 (v.l.), LXX Si. 46.20 (but ἐπροφήτευσαν ib. Numbers 11:25, al.): — to be a προφήτης or interpreter of the gods, μαντεύεο, Μοῖσα, προφατεύσω δ' ἐγώ Pi. l.c.; τίς προφητεύει θεοῦ; who is his interpreter? E.
