מַעֲטָפָה f. (from the root עָטַף No. I), a cloak, or rather a large tunic put over the one commonly worn, reaching to the hands and feet; compare מְעִיל, Arabic عِطَافُ and مَعْطَفُ id. Isaiah 3:22. See Schrœder, De Vest. Mul. Hebr. p. 235.
