צָרַעַת f. leprosy (as to the etymology, see the root צָרַע ), both of men (and then white, Exodus 4:6; Numbers 12:10 for the black leprosy is elephantiasis, see שְׁחִין ), Levit. 13:2, seq.; and of houses (prob. a nitrous scab), and of garments (mouldings, spots contracted from being shut up), -Levit. 13:4759 ; -14:3437.
