Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition
פָּנַק not used in Kal. The primary idea is probably that of waving about (comp. פּוּק); whence it has the meaning of feebleness and softness. Arab. فنق to treat and bring up softly, IV. to live delicately; Syr. Ethpe. to delight oneself.
