עֲזָרָה f.
(1) a word of the later Hebrew, for the older חָצֵר a court (of the temple), 2 Chronicles 4:9, 6:13 from עָזַר in the signification of surrounding, i.q. עָצַר, חָצַר. (Often in the Targ.; Arab. عَرْصَةُ id.).
(2) a ledge (of the altar), Abfatz, Terrasse, Ezekiel 43:14, 17 Ezekiel 43:17, 20 Ezekiel 43:20.
