סַלְכָה (Caph without Dagesh, and therefore for סַלְּכָה), [Salcah], pr.n. of a town on the eastern borders of Bashan, now called سلخت, and by corruption Sarkhad سرخد abounding in vineyards. See Burckhardt’s Travels in Syria, ed. Germ. p. 180 and my observations given there at p. 507; Deuteronomy 3:10; Joshua 12:5, 13:11 1 Chronicles 5:11.
