Qal Imperfect 1 singular אֶשֹּׁם Isaiah 42:14.
[נִשְׁמָה] noun feminine breath (see Biblical Hebrew, √ נשׁם); — suffix נִשְׁמְתָח Daniel 5:23, i.e. breath of life.
נָשַׁם fut. אֶשֹּׁם to pant, used of a woman in child-birth, Isaiah 42:14. Kindred roots are נָשַׁב, נָשַׁף transp. נָפַשׁ; compare Arab. نفس to pant; also, to bring forth, to bear. (Elsewhere fut. יִשֹּׁם belongs to the root שָׁמַם.)
