נֹקֵד pr. i.q. Arab. نَقَّادُ a shepherd of a kind of sheep which have excellent wool, called نَقَدُ; and hence in a wider sense, a herdsman, Amos 1:1 a cattle-owner, owner of flocks, 2 Kings 3:4 (spoken of the king of Moab; like כֹּרֵם from כֶּרֶם, בֹּקֵר from בָּקָר).
