לִשָּׁן Ch. a tongue, hence used of a nation using a peculiar language (see לָשׁוֹן No. 1. ). Daniel 3:4, עַמְמַיָּא אֻמַּיָּא וְלִשָּׁנַיָּא “peoples, nations, and languages.” Daniel 3:7, 31 5:19 6:26 7:14.
