Lael = “belonging to God”
1) a Levite, father of Eliasaph and descendant of Gershon
לאם (√ of following; compare Arabic bind up, or together, III. reconcile, bring together (Thes Ba NB§ 65n. 2); > Lag BN 180 who compare be low, ignoble, [plural] common ones, hence לְאֹם properly common, vulgar people).
לָאֵל (“by God,” sc. created; comp. Job 33:6), [Lael], pr.n.m., Numbers 3:24.
