זְרַחְיָה (“whom Jehovah caused to rise,” see זָרַח No. 2, ), [Zerahiah], pr.n. m.
(1) 1 Chr. 5:32 6:36 Ezra 7:4, for which יִזְרַחְיָה occurs, 1 Chronicles 7:3.
(2) Ezra 8:4.
[“זָרִים i.q. זֶרֶם (see Thes.) a violent shower, inundation, bursting of a cloud. Isaiah 1:7, כְּמַהְפֵּכַת זָרִים “as the desolation of an inundation,” or overwhelming rain. See in partic. כְּ.-Root זָרַם.”]
