גִּתִּי a Gittite, Gent. n. from גַּת No. 2. 2 Samuel 6:10, 11 2 Samuel 6:11, 15 2 Samuel 6:15, 18 2 Samuel 6:18. Hence fem. גִּתִּית Psalms 8:1, 81:1 84:1, a kind of musical instrument, either used by the people of Gath, or as it were ἐπιλήνιον, as used in the vintage with the songs of the wine-dressers and press-treaders.
