גּוֹב a locust (from גָּבָה which see), Nahum 3:17 pl. (or collect.) גּוֹבַי and גּבַי (for גּוֹבִים Lehrg. p. 523), Amos 7:1; Nahum 3:17, גּוֹב גּוֹבַי “the locust of locusts,” of a great abundance of them. Chald. גּוֹבָא, גּוּבָּא, גּוֹבַי; pl. גּוֹבָאֵי.

גּוֹב (“pit”), [Gob], pr.n. of a place otherwise unknown, where David fought with the Philistines, 2 Samuel 21:18, 19 2 Samuel 21:19.
