Did. in D. 9.57, Philem. 1.2 D., Plu. Dem. 11; χ. στονόεντ' ὅμαδον Pi. I. 8(7).27; χ. αὐδά Id. Pae. 2.100; χάλκεον ἦτορ a heart of brass, Il. 2.490; ὄπα χ. 18.222; χ. ὕπνος, i. e. the sleep of death, 11.241; χαλκέοισι νώτοις, of Atlas, E. Ion 1.

3. χαλκῆ μυῖα, a boy's game, a sort of blind-man's-buff, Herod. 9a, Poll. 9.123.
