συνέπομαι,
fut. -έψομαι Pl. Ti. 53c: aor. -εσπόμην (v.infr.): —
follow along with, accompany, σὺν δ' ὁ θρασὺς εἵπετ' Ὀδυσσεύς (where however σύν may be an Adv.) Od. 10.436, cf. Hdt. 7.39, Th. 1.60, X. An. 3.1.2, etc.; ς. τινί A. Ag. 955, Hdt. 5.47, Thphr. Vent. 47, etc.; ποίμναις.. συνειπόμην used to follow the flocks, i.e. tend them, S. OT 1125; οὔ σοι τῷ βίῳ ξυνέσπετο (thy fortunes) remained not constant to thy life, ib. 1523 (troch.); ταῦρος ἄντυγι ξ. kept pace with, it, E. Hipp. 1231; τῷ χρόνῳ ς. Pl. Lg. 721c.
2. comply or be in accordance with, τῷ νόμῳ συνεπόμενος ib. 916d; τοῖς ἀποβαίνουσιν Arist. EN 1127a4; μετὰ δεδοκιμασμένου μὴ ξυνέπεσθαι ἐθέλειν Th. 3.38; τῇ τῶν μελιττῶν ἡδονῇ ς. ministering to the taste of the bees, Pl. Lg. 843d.
3. of things, μουσικῇ συνεπόμεναι τέχναι the arts attendant on music, Id. Phlb. 56c; τὰ τούτοις συνεπόμενα the consequences of these, Id. Lg. 679e, cf. 706a, Ti. 52d: also c. gen., ὁπόσα τούτων συνεπόμενα εἴπομεν Id. Lg. 899c.
4. ς. τῷ λόγῳ follow the argument to its consequences, ib. 695c: abs., συνέπομαι I follow, i.e. understand, you, Id. Sph. 238e; συνέψεσθε Id. Ti. 53c.
συνέπομαι: imperfect συνειπομην; from Homer down; to follow with, to accompany: τίνι, one, Acts 20:4.

I. p. 394) ἐκφορίου τακτοῦ, ";at a fixed rent,"; P Oxy I. 101.10 (A.D. 142) ἐπὶ μὲν τὰ τακτά, ";on these conditions,"; P Flor I. 6.6 (A.D. 210) τὸ τακτ ̣ὸν εἰς τὸ πρόστειμον τῆς συκοφαντίας, and P Giss I. 100.16 (iii/A.D.) ἀκολούθως ταῖς τα ]κταῖς παρὰ σοῦ μεταβ ̣[ολαῖς.
