We may note the proverb Kaibel 1038.8 εῖς ] πέλαγος σπέρμα βα [λεῖν, of vain and empty toil, and Musonius p. 8.1 πρὸς καλοκἀγαθίαν καὶ σπέρμα ἀρετῆς.
