";a chain,"; is read in the TR of 2 Peter 2:4 σείραις ζόφου, but not elsewhere in the Greek Bible, except Judges 16:13, Proverbs 5:22 : cf. Syll 588.201 (c. B.C. 180) ἐκ τῆς σει ]ρᾶς κρεμαμένων. See s.v. σειρός. On Σειραί, the Catenae of the Greek Church, see an art. by Nestle in Exp T x. p. 218 f.
