For the substitution of ε for αι in this NT ἄπ. εἰρ. (Revelation 18:13), = ";a chariot,"; cf. Moulton Gr. ii. p. 81. According to Quintilian i. 5. 57 the ῥέδη came from Gaul and was a vehicle with four wheels.
