Supp. 236: used by Hom. only in impf., the Ep. aor. being προσέειπον, τινα Il. 2.22, Od. 4.69: abs., 5.159, 10.109, al.: later c. dat. pers., LXX 1 Esdras 2:21, Antig.Rex ap. D.L. 7.7, Ev.Matthew 11:16, Acts 22:2 : c. dupl. acc., address words to a person, οὐδέ τί μιν προσεφώνεον Il. 1.332, cf. A. Fr. 159, E. Med. 664 .

2. to call to oneself, summon: τινα (so the better Greek writings; see Matthiae, § 402 b.; (Winer's Grammar, § 52, 4, 14)), Luke 6:13.
