Vocabulary of the Greek NT

";suffer previously."; To the citations in LS8 for this NT ἅπ. εἰρ. (1 Thessalonians 2:2) we may add Menander Fragm. p. 200, fr. 696.

[An interesting instance of the compd προσπάσχω occurs in the letter P Lond 1929 (mid. iv/A.D.), which the editor thinks may have been written by the great Athanasius himself. After referring to the bad health of his mother, the writer proceeds—.13 ̣γὼν οὖν [μέγιστος πε ]ρὶ ἐμου ̣̑ [ἐστὶ ] π [ρο ]σπάσχοντος. . ., ";so that there is very great anxiety concerning me, suffering [this?] in addition"; (Ed.).]
