Vocabulary of the Greek NT

In the Tebtunis ostracon 3.1 (ii/A.D.) (= P Tebt II. p. 336) reference is made to πόσις ζύτου, ";the drinking of beer"; in connexion with a festival at the temple of Bubastus. In John 6:55, and probably in Romans 14:17, Colossians 2:16, the word is concrete = πόμα, ";drink.";
